Obada AlWardat
  • Obada Alwardat is a Trainee Lawyer and a member of the International Department at Hammouri & Partners’ Jordan office, where he gains legal experience with focus on Corporate and Commercial matters, Companies Law, and Intellectual Property Law. His work is centered on drafting and reviewing commercial contracts for an array of industries, assisting with corporate and IP issues, assisting with cross-border matters, and handling mandates at the preparatory stage. Mr. Alwardat’s work experience extends further than legal work and into law firm marketing, working as a member of team that supports the firm with RFP documentation and submissions, together with marketing documentation for the firm’s Jordan and other offices.
  • He is now the Rapporteur of the Justice Sector and Legislation – Youth Government since 2024 within the Political Institute for Youth Leadership Preparation.
  • Before joining the Firm, he spent over a year as a Trainee Lawyer with a well-established Law firm in Amman. During that period, Mr. Alwardat gained experience in commercial contract drafting and reviewing and on litigation, with focus on labor law cases and enforcement of judgements.
  • Before joining the firm, Mr. Alwardat gained experience as a legal researcher at the Jordanian Parliament, spanning over one year. Mr. Alwardat also worked as a Project Assistant Intern with (NIMD) Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy for a period of 6 months.

  • Alwardat routinely takes part in advisory work supporting clients in both English and Arabic on a wide range of legal matters. His practice covers contract law—including formation, negotiation, and terms and conditions—as well as Companies Law matters, corporate structuring, legal diligence, commercial agreements, lease contracts, non‑disclosure agreements and Intellectual Property issues.
  • He possesses significant experience in legal research, further honed through a full year of service at the Jordanian Parliament. During this tenure, he contributed to the Legal Committee of the House of Representatives by conducting comprehensive studies and analyses of domestic legislation.
  • Alwardat’s legal training includes, inter alia, gaining experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts tailored to clients’ industries and business environments. His work includes preparing diverse types of agreements, assisting with negotiations and contract formation on behalf of clients, drafting contractual terms and conditions, and providing legal consultations in both Arabic and English, delivered orally and in writing.
