OMAR SAWADHA

Attorney Omar Sawadha has served as a Partner at Hammouri & Partners since July 2025, in recognition of his professional excellence and his outstanding contribution to the firm’s development and client service.

Prior to his promotion to Partner, he held the position of Head of the Dispute Resolution Department, where he oversaw the work of the General Litigation Desk, the Arbitration Desk, the Banking and Finance Litigation Desk as well as the Insurance Desk. He also assisted in establishing the firm’s branch in Iraq and supervises its operations in coordination with local partners there.

Attorney Sawadha brings nearly twenty years of professional experience in litigation and arbitration, successfully managing a wide range of complex cases at both local and international levels. His expertise spans across commercial, banking, insurance, construction, labour, and real estate disputes. In addition, he provides specialised legal counsel in corporate restructuring, company liquidation, contract drafting, and the development of internal corporate policies.

 Roles and Responsibilities

As a Partner at the firm, Attorney Sawadha is responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing legal operations across all departments in coordination with their respective heads.
  • Ensuring adherence to the highest professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Representing the firm before clients and external stakeholders.
  • Driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Contributing to the formulation and implementation of the firm’s strategic plans.
  • Monitoring workflow and ensuring the quality of services delivered.
  • Providing legal support to clients in expansion and restructuring initiatives.

Professional Experience

  • Representing clients before various Jordanian courts, in civil and commercial matters.
  • Representing international clients in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.
  • Overseeing arbitration cases at both local and international levels, including construction disputes (FIDIC contracts) and insurance matters.
  • Providing in-depth legal advice in labour law, financial claims, real estate and commercial disputes, and on legislation governing commercial agencies.
  • Contributing to the firm’s revenue growth through the strategic management of client relationships.

Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Al Albayt University, Jordan (2004).
